New Stander Aims to Accommodate Larger Teen and Adult Users

Ottobock Horizon-StanderOttobock, Minneapolis, has launched the new Leckey Horizon Stander, now available in a Size 3 option, which is designed to accommodate larger teen and adult users. The Size 3 offers users a maximum weight limit of 220 pounds and a wider distance between the product’s hip pad and chest laterals.

The company notes that additional changes that have been made to stander include extended knee brackets to provide greater depth adjustment, new optional 3D footplates to accommodate varus/vlagus flexion of the feet, as well as plantar and dorsiflexion, and an angle indicator designed to allow records to be kept of individual user requirements.

The stander’s controller and handset also offer users new features that include an indicator light for battery charge level, in-built disabling system, and emergency stop button on the control box, the company adds.
