New Standing System Offers the Ability to Transfer to a Seated or Supine Position
A new standing system designed to accommodate larger, more involved pediatric users is now available through the Morton, Minn-based Altimate Medical. The EasyStand Bantam Medium is engineered to blend features from both the Bantam and Evolv series to meet user needs.
The product is also intended to allow transfers to a seated or supine position, or any desired position in between. The Bantam Medium features a positioning controller that shifts between sit to stand and supine modes. A “neutral” setting is offered to users in order to allow varied positioning between seated and supine, while a manual hydraulic actuator lifts the user to a standing position.
A Shadow Tray can also be added, offering constant anterior support and an activity surface. The product provides a variety of transferring options, as well as a range of standing positions. The company adds that the Bantam Medium fits users from 4 feet to 5 feet and 6 inches tall weighing up to 200 pounds.
